Sunday School Lesson for July 26

Hey All,

The Sunday school lesson for July 26th comes from Micah 7:14-20. Its titled "Mercy Me"

Some of the people in Micah's time and even our lives today view God in a singular way. They believed that God is either only judgmental or God is only merciful. Our Heavenly Father demands justice in human relationships - He requires us to love the people we come across. He wants us to carry out the tasks he has placed in our lives. He dislikes when we sin against Him. When we do, such sins are exposed, judged, and punished. Verse 17 says "They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the Lord our God, and shall fear because of thee."
When we say I am, or so and so is "God fearing" it means we know what God is capable of. We respect, understand and acknowledge that He is God. So when we sin against Him - a spirit of conviction or "fear" hits us. (or should hit us)
But thank God for His Mercy!!! - The latter part of verse 18 says "... He retaineth not His anger for ever, because he delighted in Mercy. 19 says "He will turn again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins in to the depths of the sea."

Meaning - Yes, we fall short. But because of God's grace and mercy, He won't hold it against us forever. We MUST repent and truly make an effort change for His Glory! And imagine how deep a sea is. He will cast our sins away and give us the opportunity to get it right!

Love you, all! Stay blessed.
